It's not easy being green....

In our house we do a lot to try and live a "Green" lifestyle.  The hardest but most rewarding has been cloth diapering.  We also use "natural" cleaners.  It is amazing what a little white vinegar, baking soda or peroxide can do for a fraction of the cost.  We also do little things, like all of our lights are the low energy fluorecent bulbs.    We average about one bag of trash every week because we recycle almost everything.  There are days it would be easier to use paper plates, napkins and most definitely disposable diapers but in the end I can know that my family is doing the most we can to help not leave such a big mark on this earth of ours.

I am constantly looking for new ways to save both in our pockets and in our waste.  Any ideas, throw them my way.

Hi Lisa-

We also have been very cautious about begin green. Some things that have helped us is to keep your air conditioning at a reasonable setting, install ceiling fans, this helps to keep the air circulating. (Which I might say is hard since we live in Texas and we have HOT days) Also, turn off computers at night from the power-strip. Use rechargeable batteries, or solar powered devices. Turn electrical devices off when not in use. Sounds simple, but how often is a television or a light is left on when no one is watching? Specially with my son.
Just like you said using Natural products is the best way to go specailly since chemicals are bad for our skin, our air and our EARTH! We also have changed over all of our house into all Natural products which makes me feel better and that I am helping conserve the earth,

If you are looking for more ways to “GO GREEN” I would love to talk to you more and not make this an long reply. And I can show you how to buy your everyday products wholesale as well! Look forward to talking with you soon!
