Parents Divorcing after 27 years :(

I feel so bad for my mom; we found out that my dad had been seeing another woman for a few months, behind my moms back.  Twice a cheater, always a cheater!

I am going home and taking the baby with me to cheer her up and get her eating healthy, and for the first time in 27 yrs, taking care of herself first!

I was just beginning to get to know my dad this past year, what with being married and a new baby, and that after I wasn't talking to him for almost 2 yrs because something similar happened before.  I believe, as a Christian, that I am to forgive him, but that doesn't mean that I should be foolish and trust him again-- and neither should my mom! She is filing for a divorce ASAP so she will soon be free of a bad marriage. I just don't know how that would feel to know someone for 35 yrs, catch them in lies and them have them tell you that they don't love you. He came back yesterday and said he did, but it's to late. The damage has been done- twice over, now. I guess he wasn't happy with his choice-- the homewrecker over his whole family. I hope it's worth it to him; I think he's seeing his poor decision now.

He left me a voice message the other day, but I don't want to call him back because I can't have anything good to say to him and then I would be just as bad as he if I were to "vomit," so to speak, all over him!

Any tips on how to cheer my mom up, temporarily?

sorry, that was a long blog

Hello
First thing is that I am very sorry that this has happened to your family. A similar thing happened to my mother. My father got another woman pregnant and left when I was 3.

The only thing that I know will make your mom happy is to see her grandchildren. It will take some time but I hope soon she finds happiness.

HELLO- GOOD FOR YOU FOR WANTING TO SO-CALLED VOMIT ALL OVER YOUR DAD! I'D FEEL THE SAME WAY! AS FOR YOUR MOM-ALL YOU NEED TO BE RIGHT NOW IS HER DAUGHTER, HER FRIEND AND A SYMPATHETIC EAR FOR HER TO COMPLETELY VENT TO. IN TIME, MANY, MANY YEARS FROM NOW SHE WILL TRULY UNDERSTAND SHE DID THE RIGHT THING. GOD BLESS
