Love being a mom

I love being a single mom. Every morning I get the cuddles and hugs, every night I get all the kisses, but I want my son to have a father. I sound selfish. I am so scared to fall in love with a guy though. I already fell in love with one to find out he had a major problem with drugs and alcohol. I dont want my son involved in that.

I would say give yourself time to know someone before involving your son in that relationship. There are some good people around that would be happy to take on the role of father, some that have good intentions but they don´t really know what it involves and some who can clearly make your life miserable! Give yourself time to know people in all possible angles...you are young and have time on your side!

I am going through a divorce with my daughters father. He is barely involved and it is very difficult. I completely understand where you're coming from. It is scary.
