Welcome to My World |
Well, this is the second time today I've started to blog. I'm very unsettled today and nothing suits me.
Why am I unsettled? Who knows? Probably for the same reason the salmon struggle upriver to spawn - because God made us that way. I'm sure there's something positive that can come out of me being unsettled - I'm just not sure what it is!
I've been working on my website, trying to get it organized a little better and easier to look at. (Check it out at www.kellylee.info) Soe of the work is quite repetitive and that makes me sleepy (of course, what doesn't make me sleepy?). I just do as much as I'm comfortable doing, then go take a nap.
The nice thing about it being MY website is that I don't have to adhere to someone else's timetable for getting things done. I highly recommend having your own website, if only to state your opinions, control how things look, and not have to listen to anyone else about what you should do with it. Heck, you can let it lay without any progress at all for however long you want! The control freak in me LOVES having my very own website, where my opinions and my decisions are what is important!
It's a sad story, but I tell you anyway. My dog, Lady, (a 1yo 45-lb blue heeler/lab/? mix; you can see her at http://www.flickr.com/photos/bequiet65 ) is whiny. And hers aren't average whines (she only does that when she's playing with her squeaky toy). These are talky kinds of sounds - very frustrated and desperate right now. She keeps running to the window to look out, then coming back to bump me with her nose or lick my arm and whine again. Everytime I get up or head toward the kitchen, she runs to the back door ears up and eyes bright just knowing that this time I'll let her out. And when I don't she whines again, putters back over to her spot in the office and plops herself down.
Why is she acting like this? Because both of my children have gone down the road to play at our friends' house. The momma is my best friend, the daddy is one of my husband's buddies, and their boys are like brothers to my kids. And they have a young pit bull mix about the same age as Lady who loves to play with Lady. But sometimes Lady gets a little out of control down there. She'll bark and growl at people she doesn't know well. She'll try to play with the chihuahuas, and they are to tiny for her rough play. Or she'll run after and try to herd the kids (especially if little ones are over). So we have to bring her home and make her stay in. And she whines, and says it's not fair that the kids get go down and she doesn't, and she promises to behave if I'll just let her go this time. But I don't, and it's all very sad for her.
Well, this was certainly an interesting blog - I just kind of went everywhere! Welcome to my world!
