Work advice please?

hello I just came home from work not to long ago and I am not in a good mood. I work in sears and I have been there for about a little over 5 months. Now the boss is getting mad because i'm not getting enough shop reards and credit apps. It isn't just me it's about 10 other people too. but he said every two weeks if I don't get to my number then I will be getting written up. they will give us up too 60 days and after those 60 days if I still don't reach my goal I will get fired. NOw can that happen? I tell my boss that it's the customers it's not me. He said well it is youcause you are not saying what you are suppose to be saying to them. Which is "may I put this in your sears card"? And if they don't tell them to apply for one and tell them what you can get by applying fo one. yes they apply and then they get denied then what? I think to me they are pushing us to do that and If  acustomer doens't wnt one the firsttime you shouldn't keep on asking them for one. I hate retail. I wish I can geta job without hasseling them. what do you think?

I can see your frustration with that. Where I'm on the other end of the counter, I think it gets pretty redundant. Especially if I'm in a hurry and just want to get check out. Most retail places seem to be encouraging more and more cross-selling of products/services. When I worked in banking it was a big requirement. In regards to "wishing" for another job, you may be interested in what I do. I work from home doing online and offline marketing and account set up. I don't have to worry about meeting anyone's "quota" but my own. I have 2 year old twins at home and don't have the time to deal with throwing parties, carrying inventory, delivering products or anything like that. I can honestly say that the company I'm a part of with the "Finding Freedom Team" is truly amazing. I have been growing my business consistently and have created my own monthly residual income. My family is healthier and more finanically stable because of it. If your interested in getting all the details, then just get a hold of me :0) I wish you the best and have a safe and Happy Halloween!
