Testing for the gifted, should I go through with it?

My daughter is 6 and in kindergarten, I recieved a call from her school that she qualifies for further testing for the gifted program. I'm not sure if I should go through with it or not. She is very smart, she knows basic math, she can do 2nd and 3rd grade logic puzzles, she reads with ease and she comprehends quite a bit for her age. I was thinking maybe go through with the testing but not to tell her what its about. I don't want to push her, I just want her to be a little girl, but she seems so bored in school maybe if she were challenged a bit more she would have more fun. Any suggestions? Anyone have gifted children?
