| I went back to work full time when my daughter turned 3. It was just such a good setting. Her day care was close to my job and I was available in case she needed me. Her teachers and school were awesome. I even worked as a volunteer there for some time before I enrolled her in kindergarten. The company that I was working for was a family oriented company and supported mothers immensely. I wish you the best in finding a gratifying job that helps you and your daughter to be out in the " real world ". Maria. |

| Hi Jennifer. I am not trying to get you to join anything! I just want to let you know that I too am a single SAHM and, even with my kids in school, it is very difficult to get a job outside of the home due to sick days and snow days, etc. Some employers are not too kind about those situations. I have been doing Mary Kay for over a year now and I have to say that I absolutely love it!! I have a great support system with the women I have met and it gets me out of the house and meeting other great women as well as earning an income. My customers are always understanding! Perhaps you could look into doing something like that, depending on what your interests are. |

| Hello ladies. I am a mother of a 21 year old and a 16 year old. I stayed home with my oldest until he was 1 and 1/2 years and then had to work for financial reasons. My second son was only 3 weeks when I went back to work. My job did not pay for maternity leave so I only had two weeks of vacation. But I started back at just 3 hours a day, then added a little more time until I was back to full time. Now that they are older I unfortunately have had to quit working because I have been battling cancer for 4 years. However the good news is that it allowed me to be a stay at home mom one more time. In my opinion it is more important to be there when they are teenagers than when they are toddlers. With toddlers it is quality of time you spend with them not quantity. With the older kids you need to be more protected of where they are, who they are hanging out with, how are relationships growing, etc. For me going to work was not an option it was necessity. But I am glad I did it. My kids have turned out great. One has graduated high school and is working and slowly going to school. My youngest is a Junior in highschool and is a very successful competitive gymnast and is looking at colleges such as Penn State, Illinois, Michigan, Oklahoma, etc... |

I am able to work from my computer and phone with my son right by my side. It is flexible so I can work my business whenever it fits into my schedule. I also have a great support system and one one one mentoring. There is no selling, cold calling, or inventory. I was skeptical at first but I have been doing very well. I am a mother of 5 and just recently partnered with the creators of Proactiv. They now have a skin care line including one for anti-aging. The Today show says it is a "must have" product.
