Why washing my hands?

Washing your hands prevents the spread of germs. You can spread these viruses or bacteria by touching another person. You can catch these germs by touching contaminated surfaces and then touching your mouth, eyes, and nose. Many diseases such as the common cold, hepatitis A, and influenza are transmitted through contact with the hands. Wash your hands as often as you can, before meals, before going to the bathroom, before cooking meals, after blowing your nose, touching your pet, etc. If water and soap is not available use anti-bacterial hand cleanser. Also, avoid touching your mouth, eyes, and nose.
