Ok....I made a big problem. My daughter just turned 1 and she has been sleeping with my husband and I off and on, quite a bit actually. If she isn't with us she is in her playpen in our room. How can I get her adjusted to her crib in her room? HELP
Our daughter was sleeping in her bassinet in our bedroom till she was about three months old and then with us in our bed till about she was nine months old and then I decided its time for her to sleep in her crib, in her bedroom so what I did was till she gets used to sleeping in her crib, i would give her her last milk and rock her to sleep and put her in her crib (with her favorite blanket by her side) and leave her room door open a little bit .. she usually sleeps throughout the night which helps a lot but on days that she wakes up in the middle of the night we would be able to hear her to go to her and put her back to sleep and just pat her back while she is laying in her crib...now she is 13 months old and she is very much used to her crib and her room so all i do is have her drink her milk and take her to her crib and pat her back a couple of times and she falls asleep...i hope this helps and that your daughter will get used to sleeping on her own soon...
Keep her in your bed. She will be independent far too soon. Enjoy it. My 3 year old sleeps with me and bedtime is never an issue. Often she tells me it's time. She loves snuggling and reading.
