Help! Teen woes!

I have two teenagers....13 and 14....but the older one, a boy.....seems hell bent on exercising his "freedom of speech" and is adamant about pointing out that he lives in a "free country" to try to get away with anything he says or does.

He tries to irritate us on purpose and acts like a 5 yr old in public because he thinks it's funny.  We correct him and he says we should respect him.  He says that's just how he is and we should back off......

Help please!! Any suggestions????

Hello, my name is Minnie and have a 13 year old boy. First, the best thing is not to argue in public, but tell him that he is being disrespectful and you will deal with him when you get home. When he disrespects me, i usually ground him, take away all his electronics and revoke his privileges for a week and it keep on going if he continues. Now a days, teen are into electronics and they can't find themselves with electronics or cell phones.
