swollen gums

have any of the expecting moms out there had to deal with swollen gums...to the point where eating almost seems impossible,and your ear hurts?,, it's been happening on and off throughout my pregnancy and the dentist recommended warm saltwater...works..but usually takes a day or two..any other ideas?

Maybe have a deep cleaning done at the dentist? If salt water works, it sounds like it might be bacterial. Also, try Tea Tree oil. Just rub it on your gums. It numbs instantly and also disinfects. You could also try clove oil. Dentists use clove oil for infections and pain.

Both are natural remedies- not medications.
