Five Simple Rules for Work-Life Balance – Part 2

So, I'm going to just label this FSR: the five-simple rules. Here's rule #2: PRIORITIES I love the energy from the "How to STAY Empowered" group I coached last Saturday. One word came up quite frequently, and amazingly it's the second simple rule: priorities. We are challenged, challenged, CHALLENGED on getting so many different things done in a day. As a new mom, I know at times, I've been all over the place, just switching back and forth over things. A complete whirlwind! And it's so easy to do, because no one ENJOYS living in a dirty house, or having clothes everywhere, or not meeting critical work deadlines. That's CHAOTIC! Decide what's important to do, today, and today only. If it's not due today, IT CAN WAIT, it goes to the bottom of the list. This includes house-work. If the room looks that bad, just close your eyes really tight as you walk through the room! Lol Trust me, it can wait. Now, I didn't say put it off forever. Just make the conscience decision of knowing when is the BEST time to tackle the project. Rome was not built in a day. Pyramids weren't either. Change is progressive, so be kind to yourself. Pace yourself. You'll have less stressful experiences, and more productivity.
