My Work at Home Journey

As some of you know, my hubby lost his job last year when the company he was working for closed their doors. Since then we have struggled, pay check to pay check, while he worked two jobs. I hated knowing he was working so hard and wasn't home with us. So, I decided to find a job. I thought about finding a job out of the home, but daycare was out of the questions... so the next step was a home based business. I talked to some friends (one with Mary Kay, another with Pampered Chef, and another with Party Lite) and was not too keen on the idea of hosting parties, keeping inventory, taking orders and money... so I kept searching. Finally, I got an email from a friend asking me to listen in on a conference call. I had my doubts, but did it anyways and was AMAZED. I loved everything I heard and ended up signing up that night. (5 days from the end of the month) Needless to say, I was at my friend's house the next day, getting some insight from her and her mentor, and starting my OWN business. I gave myself a HEFTY goal... (To make Director I that first month, yes in 5 days) and I worked hard those 5 days and made it. My first paycheck (for 5 days of work) was more than my husband's second job was bringing in. Since then, things have taken off and I have made myself a pretty lenient schedule of working at nap times and some evenings, 5 days a week...

This job is just great, I don't have to host parties, sell anything, keep inventory, take orders or money, I set up and manage customer accounts for an Inc 500 company with an A rating with the BBB! I am amazed at how easy it has been, and between you and I, I feel relieved to be taking so much pressure off my husband.
