IL, Kids Consignment Sale

Hi... I am an AF Mom of 3 boys and have ventured into starting a Kids Consignment Sale. I am from SAFB but am holding the sale in Mascoutah, IL.

My cousin and I are so excited about the consignment. We are trying to get the word out and have found that a lot of people don't really understand what a consignment sale is.

It is a 3-5 day event in which 'you' bring your gently used clothes, toys, baby items, etc. to 'us' and we sell them for you in an organized fashion. I call it a "Pretty & Organized Group Garage Sale" LOL.

It's really easy to participate, you just need to tag and drop off your stuff, and we do all the work. If it doesn't sell, you pick up your stuff on the last day or allow us to donate it for you!! If you had items that sold, you get 65% of what it sold for. We will send you a check in just a few weeks. I promise... it's seriously that easy.

Check out the details at My Cousins' Consignment

Consignment is a great way to de-clutter and make extra money.
I made over $200.00 last spring which was my first time ever to consign! And in the fall I made over $400.00, by just organizing my daughters gently used out grown clothes from the season! I used the money I made to replace her wardrobe in new sizes..

I like to think of buying my kids clothes, shoes and toys as a hobby and investment!

A little bit of acceptable item -- clarificaiton...

1. We are accepting any brand as long as it is in good condition.

2. We are accepting single items as well as SETS! We are in the process of changing the wording on that page. Just remember that sets and the higher brands can sometimes sell faster and at a higher price.

3. We've had a few people say they were just dumping stuff off at the Goodwill. Well, if you were planning on that, you might as well pick out the consignable stuff and try to sell it. Tag it to be donated, and if it doesn't sell, we will donate it at the end of the sale for you! You get your $$ for what you sold and you are rid of stuff you were 'giving' away.

4. Give the Spring sale a chance before you get rid of your fall winter stuff. See if it goes well and consign your winter stuff in the Fall! That's right, we plan to come back in Aug/Sep for a Fall consignment. Then, you can do the same thing. Try and sell what you can, donate the rest. (you don't have to donate, that is optional)

5. If you have numerous single - like items, lets say several t-shirts of the same size and brand (maybe 3 Arizona 10/12 shirts) pair them together and you'll probably be able to sell them for a little more.

6. Think outside the box and gather toys, bikes, maternity clothes, kids sports gear, leotards, rain gear, etc.

7. REFER A FRIEND. It takes your 65% to 70%.

8. Sign up for a 3 hour volunteer shift, if you do that + Refer a Friend, you'll get 75% of what you sell. Its really easy!

If you haven't already, REGISTER today!
