17 moth old son throws up after almost every meal

My son has been throwing up ever since he was born. It used to be a little formula here and ther and now that he is eating regular food, he throws up all of it. It comes out chucky, almost like cottage cheese, and also some days it is just almost like very slimy spit. I have to clean up messes twice a day. I have so much laundry to do all the time. He has be seen by doctors and even specailists but they are all telling me he will grow out of it. I just really am not satisfied with that answer. Has this ever happened to any other parent. I dont know what else to think or do about it. I would love advice. Thanks so much

We had to do an upper GI test or a lower I don't remember but it was all due to reflux. They do "grow" out of it in a sence but it might not always be the case, my daughter was on medicine for it like a type of antacid.
Could it also be an allergy? Milk. wheat, soy, eggs? that also can be a cause for throwing up without fever.

He had an upper GI test done and he had a reflux of a 2-3 out of 10 and they said it wasnt that severe to put him on medicine. We tried lactaid milk and he still throws up with that type of milk. we tried not giving him dairy products for like a week and he still threw up. We just can pin-point it to any one thing. I seriously hope he grows out of it. I just feel so bad for him! Thanks for the info!

I would try an allergist. He/she may be allergic to something. My DD was allergic to milk egg and soy and did similar things. Does he have a skin rash that maybe another sign he's allergic to something...Allie

Is he eating alot at one time? maybe smaller meals more often would help. You can also talk to your pharmacist about something over the counter. Ematrol is an anti nausea medicine but not sure if it is safe for young tots.

We have tried it all. Hes not allergic to anything... he eats small meals (b/c he never sits still long enough to eat a full meal anymore) but he doesnt eat fast or anything.. its almost like he gags on his food when he does eat... but he is now 20 months old and he is STILL doing it. I dont knw what else to think or do. The Doctor said it may be his gag reflux and he will have to learn over the years how to control it.... I will have to check into the Ematrol, but yes, he may be too young for it. Thanks for everything!!!!
