I find myself asking that same question sometimes...my five yr old wont stay in his bed when i put him to bed. Just remind him that bed time is bedtime and he needs to stay then put him to bed and go about your business if that doesn't work i don't know....good luck

MY eight year old still likes to snuggle a bit before bed. Sometimes I wish he wouldn't but I know it will be over soon enough and I mid as well enjoy the snuggle time while I still can. We usually talk about his day and what he hopes to dream about that night. Just a suggestion for you. I hope it helps :o)

This is the worst! My 3 year old daughter had not slept in her own bed since she was a year old. Yes, 2 years she was either with us or on the sofa. My latest idea, that has worked brilliantly, was creating the "Night time Fairy." Oh yes, sounds cheesy, but works effectively. I told her that if she was a big girl and stayed in her own bed for the night, in the morning the fairy would leave her a prize. I went to the dollar store and got little things to leave under her pillow. She was so excited when she woke up in the morning! Of course this can't last forever, so on the last night I told her the fairy would leave her one big prize and then that would be all. She would then go to other children's houses who need help going to bed. It worked great! She has been in her bed now for 3 weeks with no problems. Might be worth a try!!! Good luck!
