I"m a single mother of 2 children ages 4 and 6. We live in NY. I've been here 18 yrs and love it. HOwever, I'm not so sure about raising my kids here and have been thinking of relocating. I'm buddhist and a democrat. My children are bi-racial and I would love to find a right fitting community. I was thinking possibly VT but don't really know anyone there. I don't know what it would be like as a single parent raising 2 kids there. On the other hand, I have family in Texas and could relocate there pretty easily but am not sure it's the right fit for us. The other issue is that their father lives in NY as well. so this would mean less physical contact with him.
