Kids don't listen (Thank God)

Andrew and I went to grandma's today like we do every Thursday so I could do laundry.  At 12p we went up to the pool that we have a membership too.  The day went fine until about 2p and Andrew started to get fussing and wanted out of the pool and of course I was still in the pool.  But when he didn't stop walking away from me that's when I got out to grab him before he walked too far away from me and that when I  noticed that a little girl was doing the dead man's float and I was thinking that she was playing like most kids do at that age.  Brace yourself moms.  I watched her for about 10 sec. and noticed that she wasn't coming up for air.  I alerted the lifeguard near by and the lifeguard jumped in to get her and myself and another lady helped the lifeguard with the girl.  We checked her pulse and it was faint but still breathing a little.  I wiped the junk away from her mouth and starting CPR.  I think I got one breath in her and the another lifeguard was on the phone with 911 and told me stop CPR and just then another swimmer come out and said that she was an RN.  And at that time the girl's mom come over and I let the RN do her job and I console the mother.  But the time that the RN got her breathing again the EMT's showed up and they loaded the girl into the ambulance and took her to the hospital.  When they loaded her in she was breathing but not really alerted probably still in shock.  So in a way, Andrew is a hero for getting out of the pool because if he didn't, I wouldn't have noticed her.
