"If you eat your dinner then you can have dessert" is heard way too often in our household.    "Eat your dinner because it is good for you and it helps you grow" Now that is more like it!   hahaha  My 2 1/2 yr thought about this for a moment and actually took a bite of his food.   Why are there battles over eating?   Will my kids starve? Not exactly.    My issue is that my kids won't eat there dinner but then want a snack.  Well I decided that grazing throughout the day works well for my kids.   Actually I graze all day long also so my kids aren't much different from me.

Well my kids used to say the same thing everytime I come home, "Mom, I'm starving". We know good and wel they are nto starving. Sometimes snack and desserts to more harm than good. I feel dessert should only be had once or twice a week. We want to do those special things for our kids because we love them, but when they are wired up on banana pudding and wont go to bed on time sometimes that sugary dessert may be the culprit. Some of the snacks we choose for our kids maybe their favorite but it won't stick with them and keep them full. I am a firm believer in tricking your kids, I know that sounds terrible. I can make sweet potatoes taste just like carrots(lol). Be creative.
