Getting her to sleep without tv
I started a bad habit of letting my daughter go to sleep while watching a DVD.  At about 10 months old she started sleeping in her own room. We would put on a Baby Einstein DVD and she would watch for a while then drift off to sleep without a problem.  She is 21 months old now, and I am about to try to break her of this. Im not sure how to do it though b/c this is the only way she has ever gone to sleep. I would love suggestions or advice anyone has to offer!!!  Thanks! :-)

I haven't really seen a lot of the baby einstein dvd's but aren't they usually playing something by mozart or bach in the background? try finding a cd that has these types of songs on them...maybe she will link the two and start going to sleep with the music on in her room...just an idea, hope it works!

My son watches a ni-night movie, then it gets turned off.....before he falls asleep. That way the kid doesnt associate TV with sleep. The CD is a great idea. After my son watches his 15 minute show, he listens to his music very softly. Hes been doing that since he was born pretty much. works great to calm them down before bed.
