I was just wondering what type of schedule others have for thier baby? Every day I play with my daughter, read her books, try solid foods, try to go for a walk if the weather is not to nasty outside, but at some point its like OK I have run out of things to do with you. We work on tummy time, crawling, standing, sitting up. Eventually I end up watching TV with her (I know there are mom's out there that are completely against having any TV time and I respect your opinion and decision. So, Please do not berate my decision to allow my child some TV time) I just wondered what other mom's did with thier kids when they only have one child at this age. Where you can interact to a certain extent but then you can't fully interact and your stuck inside with nasty weather or can only go for a limited time. Also, I do nothave a car during the day right now to just be able to go some place with my daughter to go to the mall or anything like that. This is my day... Morning anywhere between 6am (she gets up earlier I make sure she stays in bed till 6) and 7am. Feed her a bottle, She spits up really easy, so she has to sit in her bouncy for about half hour before she can get up and really wiggle around. Have the TV on to entertain her since I can't really jiggle her. 8am - she can finally start to move around so I go and play with her on the floor, put her in her exersaucer, try to wear her out for a nap. try to feed her a little food. Anywhere between 9 and 10ish its time for a nap. Sleeps only about a half hour to an hour. She gets up and I usually try to take a shower and let her play on the bedroom floor. 11 to 12 we play a little more. Feed her and then probably watch some more tv and she is confined to her bouncy again for a little bit. I try to eat lunch around 2 i try to go outside for a walk with her and the dog. We may try solid foods again. Afterwards we come back and I read her a story and go over the colors and describe things in the book. We work on sitting up. and play for about half an hour or so. then she starts to wear out and if she hasn't napped yet then she goes down for her nap. She gets up from her nap then I usually try to straighten up the house and start dinner. So I let her playin her exersaucer or on her playmat. I have the TV on for background noise or classical music channel or the radio. Then its the bedroutine and I struggle to keep her awake til 6:00. I know that is a super early bedtime but its pushing to keep her up that late. But she does good with that bedtime. She sleep straight through the night and either wakes up at 4 and sleeps till 7 or or wakes up at around 5ish and then I feed her and put her back in her crib to play till 6:00. |
