SAHM's AND GAINING WEIGHT...

I quit working last October and over the last year i've gained 30lbs!  My eating habits haven't changed that much, not that I can tell anyway.  Could I have really gained that much weight because I went from working in an environment where I moved constantly for 8 hours a day to a more relaxed SAHM environment!  I thought I'd be moving around constantly at home to, but it's not the same!  What do I do!

Yes that is possibly because after I had my son I weighed about 160. He is now 2 yrs and I'm finally started to lose the weight that I put on from being SAHM. My ending weight was 169 and last Friday I went to the doctor's and I was 157.So 3 more to go before I'm back at my weight after my son was born but 13 more to lose , my pre pregnancy was 144

I have found the same problem! The solution I have come up with is to play outside with my son. I chase him around the yard or I put him in the pull behind trailer for my bike and I go for a bike ride and point out different things to my son along the way. He thinks it is so funny to see different things around town and at the park. I play on the play ground equipment with him (he is 15 months old).We have bought him (and us...well mostly for my husband) a fifteen foot trampoline with the safety netting around it, so I get out there and bounce and play with him. We have also joined the YMCA and when it is cold outside (like now) we walk around the indoor track, or go swimming. Sometimes I put in a 30min work out video while he is taking him afternoon nap. I have no routeen to my work out I just try everyday to do something that is physically active for myself and my son,it's healthy for both of us. However my husband and I are working on baby number two, so...I get the weight off just in time to put more back on!
Hope that helps

I didn't notice but my hubby pointed out the fact that I go to the fridge a lot more and pick at food all day and I didn't even realize I was doing it. I am going to the gym now and stopped eating all day when I go to the fridge I go to get water and tell myself that. I have lost 8 lbs. but I am aiming for inches not lbs. I don't care how much I weigh I just want to lose a couple more inches and I am fine. I know I will be gaining my muscle back so I can never go by weight.
