Halloween costumes newspaper story
Hi,
My name is Ray Routhier, reporter for the Portland Press Herald. I'm also the father of two girls, ages 2 and 5.
I'm doing a story for Thursday's newspaper about Halloween costumes for girls, and how the ones in stores seem to be getting sexier and more focused on a very narrow image of girlhood.
I'd like to talk to parents about their opinions of girls costumes and find out how they deal with this. Make costumes? Have the child pick a character to be before they see stuff in stores?
If you have an opinion and would like to comment for my story - I'd need to print your name - please contact me ASAP at rrouthier@pressherald.com or at 791-6454.

Thanks very much.
