FOR ABOUT 2 YEARS (DAUGHTER NOW 4) i AM SLEEPING IN SAME BED. SHE THROWS A MELT DOWN WHEN I TRY TO HAVE HER GO IN HER OWN BED. I EVEN BOUGHT HER A NEW BED. SHE PROMISES WHEN SHE IS 4 (IN 2 WEEKS) SHE WILL SLEEP THERE ALONE. ANY ADVISE?????
Have you tried sleeping in different beds, but the same room? Sounds like weening needs to take place. Once you start, stay with it, don't give in. When she's use to her own bed, do a room make over, give her a room she'd love to be in, maybe as a surprise! I have 4 boys and 1 girl. She's had her own room from day one. Her furniture is white. I decorated in pink & purple, pastel & bright colors. I stenciled the alphabets, her name, & flowers on her walls. She's excited about "mommy & me" time before naptime&bedtime-brushing her teeth, doing her ABC's and her name. Then it's lights out to her musical mobile, but door open. I close the door once she's asleep. God Bless. Let me know how it goes.
