Has anyone had any success on here?

I am just curious if anyone actually accomplished what they had set out to do on here? I joined here just looking for other parents in similiar situations and maybe a few new friends. Just wanted to know if I am wasting my time on here or not?

Answers:

Raisingthem offers a place where parents can connect, however the success in meeting new friends requires always a little effort on everyone part.
Stay open to meet new people or talk to them and I am sure you will find other parents you like.

I have found that you have to put yourself out there. if you are too shy you will never find anything you are looking for. I am new to the the Atlanta area. I have no friends and no family. i now have a 6 month old son. So i started my own playgroup. Then i searched parents in my zip code and sent an invite message to all of them. i now have 12 families in my group and it keeps growing. we have gotten together a few times and a few of us even call eachother. This site takes some time. Answer polls, answer blogs, post questions and i think that you will find you will get what you are looking for. please feel free to contact me if you want.

You have the right idea. The more you create the things you want in life, the less you have to settle for trying to link up with what's available. I have just joined, however I am quite hopeful that I will find parents that are interested in helping thier children see and understand the larger world around them.

I find this site kind of slow. I have yet to find very active members in my area. Maybe I am on here TOO much. I've sent invites, messages, started groups, posted different groups yet not too many members are actually into this site.

I joined just a couple of days ago. I asked for advice on potty training, and received a suggestion. I went through the blogs and shared some advice from our successful experiences. I sent out invitations after going through some profiles and finding parents in my age group with children in my toddlers age group. Mothers accepted, and I have already asked to schedule playdates. I had to make it happen and not wait for it to happen. Yes, I have had success in two days!
