WHO ARE THE UNINSURED CHILDREN?

9.4 million children did not have health coverage in 2006 -- that's one in eight children!

In 2006, there were one million more uninsured children than in 2004. Our health care system is failing children of all races, and putting coverage out of reach for families across the economic spectrum. Nearly half of the increase in uninsured children from 2005 to 2006 was children whose families had incomes between $42,400 and $84,588.

I am having problems finding health care for my child due to an issue with Child Support. Right now I am on a government health insurance plan for myself but am unable to add my son to it, due to the fact that in our Child Support it states that his Father is to supply him with Medical Support. At this time, his Father does not have any medical insurance out for him, and therefore my son is without insurance. I will look into the consumer driven healthcare website you have provided. Thank you!

Molly,

As another single mom, I feel your concern. If you need more information or just want to talk about how the dental/medical plans work, fill out the form on the website and I'll give you a call so that we can talk.

Your son is so cute!
