Birthday Party Etiquette

We are having my daughters 2nd birthday party at the end of June.  We are inviting aproximately 50 people ranging from family members, friends, to kids and their parents from her daycare (some of which we don't know that well).  To avoid chaos and boredom from some, we were thinking about not opening presents at the party...what do you guys think?  Personally, I would like to have her open her presents, but with so many people and so many fun things to do, we are thinking of saving the opening for after the party.

Any advice is appreciated :)  Thanks!

We planned on doing the same thing at my son's party. It's a swimming party and we only rented the pool for two hours and to make sure the kids have the whole two hours to swim, we were going to open his gifts after the party.

I would advice not to open the present all at the same time, after the third present they don't even look at them anymore. We use to open one every other day.
