Moving from MA to GA - Advice on Making Connections

I'm looking for tips/advice on how to help my kids (11 & 7) connect with other kids upon arrival in GA at the end of June. Anything will be appreciated!

the internet is a great place for finding local playgroups, what part of ga are you moving to? i live in macon, (central GA)

We're headed to Cartersville, 40 miles NW of Atlanta. I'm hoping to make even just one connection before we get down there. There is so much information on the internet, it's just a matter of finding it!
