you need to let him know he is a kid and demand some respect if he keep taking this path he will end up in jail or dead.give him a wake up call get the cops involved so they can talk to him i am praying for you

I have a 14 yr old boy too. One day he seems to be somewhat respectful, the next it really can feel like he hates me. That is his job as a hormonal teen, to feel like he knows exactly what he wants and feel like everyone is out to get him. I rememeber those feelings, and know that they felt very real. Do you have other extended family that you and he can talk to ? And what about counseling? He might fight it but it does seem like he has some issues he might like to talk about.
Consistency and discipline are going to be so important right now. I always feel like this will make my son really mad, but in the long run he responds better to all of life situations if I let him know the rules and stick to them. Be strong, and definitely take it day by day. Maybe also there are people who can help through the school? Good luck.
