How do I find local play groups?

Hi!

Does anyone have a suggestion as to how I would go about finding a local play group? I am a new mom and not use to staying at home. My son is 3 months old now and although he can't play, I'm ready to get out of the house. I'm open to any suggestions that you have.

Thanks,
Jeana

You can click on 'Groups' on the horizontal menu, then 'Find a local group'.
On the next page, insert your zip code and click 'Search', and you will see all the groups that are close to you.

Hi Jeana,
I'm new at staying at home too, and starting to go stir-crazy! Any suggestions?
Thanks,

Hey Ladies,
I was in the same boat as you. I am not a stay at homme mom, but my husband travels 5 days out of the week for work. so i always alone with the baby. You just start to feel yourself go crazy. I actually started my own play group. "Cobb Galeria area playgroup". I then clicked on "parents" at the top and searched by zip code. i sent a message to every one in my area asking them to join the play group and telling them that we coud get together once a month - or more if they like. Then i posted a play date for our group and 5 moms showed up. we now have a bout 8 - 9 members. its not much but it is a start. it has taken about one month. We now message eachother and call eachother as well. If you don't already have a play group i your area i would HIGHLY suggest you try this. It has work great for us. Good Luck
