Sleeping in her crib

I am a first time mom of an 8 month old, and I made the mistake of letting her sleep with me as a baby. Now that she is beginning to crawl it is too dangerous to leave her on the bed and I have been trying to get her to sleep in her crib. I tried the tough love approach and tried to leave her in her crib until she fell asleep, but after about 30 minutes when she was still screaming on the top of her lungs I began to get afraid that she would hyperventilate. Now she is extra connected to me. How long is too long to leave her in her crib?

I don't think it was a mistake that you let her sleep with you when she was a baby...all of mine did that...it was good for me and my babies. :D I would say, you know her best...and just to try a little each day, during her naps, etc...to lay her down when she is tired...see if she will calm down...try to time it...just so you can see the difference in the amount of time you leave her in her bed, before she calms down. You know your baby best...this too shall pass soon enough! :D
