Friends??
Hi....I hope finding this group makes a difference for me... I am a happily married stay at home mother of two... I was in desperate need of a group to join of moms in the same field.. I found a "moms club" yet for some reason the president of that club was on a mission to keep me from joining!!!  I don't understand why?? I am a very outgoing person, very easy to get along with!! It really doesn't make since... Honestl I felt she was predjudice towards my little girl (mixed with japenese)... I was the only parent there of such nature.... I am very exited I found this group hopeing my second attempt to meet stay at home moms and socilize my children within playdates will actually happen this time!!!!

Hi, Melanie. Welcome to RaisingThem. If that president didn't want you to join, lucky for you. You don't want to be a part of a group like that anyway (especially for your kids sake)!

Although this is a great site for getting parenting advice (and giving it), I recommend "MeetUp.com" for finding a mommie-and-me group/club. I'm very happy with the activity (and people) my group has, and there's almost always a group near you (where are you, by the way?). If not for mommie-and-me, you can enjoy time for you alone (like a crafts or exercise group)!

Good luck! ~Jamie

I teach part-time mommy and me classes out her in california thru our local adult ed.. You can try meetup.com like others stated or also your local adult ed or city parks and rec. department or the little gym or my little gym or gymboree play time they all offer classes.. Out here in CA our Barnes and Nobles has a train table and offers story time also our Michael's craft store offers kids craft once a week... also alot of my friends do stroller strides.... talk soon, HEIDI
