I have given my son (who is 21 months) eggs now for at least 6 months. He loves toast with jelly and eggs for breakfast. I see nothing wrong with it. My son is not overweight either, he is tall for his age and lean.

The concerns with cholesterol and eggs was recently disputed. The benefits of eating eggs, now, has been shown to outweigh the risks, and the good cholesterol in eggs benefits people more than the bad cholesterol negatively affects them. Now, most doctors only caution those with a current heart condition about limiting their egg intake, not eliminating eggs completely. If you are still concerned you could just fix egg whites for your child or Egg Beaters.
