I ate intuitively throughout my pregnancy and still do. I only breastfed for one month so that didn't help any. I hightly recommend listening to your body for hunger, rather than eating for emotional reasons. I teach this course over the phone and I can tell you, it will change your life and the lives of your kids. I exercised most days of the week doing cardio, but also included weights and core. Down to less than prepreg weight in about 4 mos or less.
