My 11 month old daughter will not sleep through the night. she wakes up  sometime 4-5 times a night and screams. i get her back to bed  and then a couple hours later she is up again. im 8 weeks pregnant and exhausted. my fiancee is exhausted from working 12 hour days adn then trying to help me at night. i tried feeding her more food before bedtime so she was fulland that doesnt help. im going ot put a radio in her room this weekend. hoping taht will help. im out of ideas, i tried letting her scream and it waslike every night it jsut got worse. for 5 nights. she would scream on and off for 3 hours. then lastnight i laid her down and would sing and pat her back and she would fall back to sleep after 15 minutes, but she still woke up 3 times. she goes to bed at 9 and gets up 5. with 3 wake ups in htere. any advice???

I'm sorry that you are having this problem but I can't help you there because I have the same with my son but not that bad. He wakes up and then I give him a sippy cup and then he's right back to sleep, and I know that I need to break him of that habit. But I am a very light sleeper and I don't want to hear him cry.

My 10 month old used to sleep wonderfuly during the night...once I got her to sleep. She has recently begun to wake up every night at least twice if not more. I was a nanny before my baby was born and the child I took care of did this too. I've noticed a pattern and this is what I've observed. The babies wake up more often during major growth or developmental stages. For example, if your baby is starting to walk or pull herself up she will wake more at night. Teething or an icky or wet diaper are other issues that wakes my baby up.
I talked to by pediatricain, he says set up a bedtime routine and be consitant every night and let her fuss. She will grow out of it. Other than that i don't have a clue what to do. I hope it resloves quickly for all of us. Devon...although this is not the best thing to do...I have found when I am desperate for some sleep. I lay down with my baby. She sleeps a little longer and I can get more sleep too.
