Eating tantrums

Caroline has started to go into an eating tantrum.  Anytime we put her in her high chair to eat anything besides Mac & Cheese or Chicken Nuggets, she starts wailing, throwing food, etc.  Now SHould I just feed her what she wants and not worry about  exposing her to other food?  But I do not want to have to cook two dinners for the next couple of years.  Or just put it in frount of her, let her do her thing, then when we are done eating, let her leave w/ us??

*here's why I'm cautious.  we are on our 3rd round of antibotics for her ear infection.

We've had it since before Thanksgiving. I feel bad letting her cry, becaue I know it eventually bothers her ears.......  but I do know that IS  NOT the reason for the meal time meltdowns.  The timing is just to perfect.

I would make her the foods she likes and keep putting veggies and other stuff along with it. Don't force her to eat it, but as long as it is there she will (hopefully) eat it at some point. You can also try to hide different things in her favorite foods, a blender works great to puree all kinds of stuff.

I just bought the book "Deceptively Delicious" by Jerry Seinfeld's wife. It was actually a gift for X-Mas. Her book is full of recipes where the veggies are pureed and "hidden" in all sortsd of foods. I spent today pureeing veggies and hope to start making some yummy things that my kids...and my hubby will eat without even knowing they are eating veggies.
