Toys for 3months |
Does anyone know what kind of toys to get for a 3month baby, I know it's hard to keep a baby occupied, but any suggestions would do. I have try to use mobiles, playmats and it keeps her busy for a short time. Any suggestions would help. Thanks. |

If I could do it again, my son would have spent less time on his backside and more time on his tummy. They have mirrors, etc to encourage babies to enjoy tummy time more. Being on their tummy is important for development of their neck, etc for future movements such as sitting, rolling, and so forth. Also, my son was often on his back around 3 months that he started getting the flat head syndrome (that no one told me about). Anyway, we spent several months stressing about that.
Mostly, he doesn't need toys as much as he needs to interact with you! Have fun! |

I would lay my son on the boppy on his tummy, with toys in from of him that he could reach for, a mirror, things with faces on them, soft books with bright pictures. I would also put him on his back sometimes on the boppy with the baby gym holding toys up for him.
Basically, any toy with bright colors, faces, shiny things, things that are soft for him to squeeze.
It is important that baby gets face time with you too. But it is just as important that she have the opportunity to entertain herself. Sometimes just place her near a window, so she can see the leaves blowing or the rain falling, or place her near you where you are working and you can talk and sing to her as you fold laundry or cook, or whatever you are doing. |
