Try putting a blanket on her while she is up and you are near by, and she if she can kick it off and I guess if she can't try putting a small heater in her room, not a space heater but maybe an oil heater

Do you have a sleep sack? I had a couple of them for Emilie when she was smaller, I would put a onesie on her and socks.
Here is a link from babies r us, but I am sure you can find them cheaper.

During the winter here last year I found a down throw blanket from Wal-Mart for about 10 bucks. I put it under the crib sheet and it helps to keep her warm. Just be careful that she is not allergic. I have used a blanket on her since she was born and I have never had any problems, she will usually push it off at some point so I make sure she is dressed warm. Do you have a baby monitor? I have a cheap one and it works well, I think it is from Fisher Price.

I used sleep sacks wehn my son was very little, but this winter I don't think I will use them because he moves around so much that it would probably frustrate him. My doctor said around 9 months is ok to start using a blanket, when he is able to pull it away from his face on his own.
I would use a warm fleece sleeper. They go for about 2 for $10 at Target. Even if it is fine to use a blanket, chances are it will not stay on. Put a thermometer in her room and as long as it stays at a temperature that is comfortable for you, she will be fine. It's probably better to leave the door open anyway so it doesn't get too warm and to let the air circulate. |

I dress Jackson in warm, long one pieces. I wrap (swadle) him in a recieving blackent. I use blankets on Jackson. I just dont place them high enough where he can reach tham and pull them over his head. He usually can't kick them off because he is wraped up in this recieving blanket pretty thight. This keeps him warmer. He usually sleeps good at night and stays warm. :)

You've gotten some really good suggestions. I'd recommend a knit hat too, I'm all to familiar with cold night, those onesies that have a big bag at the bottom that are fleece really work well. Also have flannel underneath helps them keep their own body heat in. Chances are the baby will cry if its too cold so a monitor would work best at alerting you. Good Luck!

Can you put her crib in your room just for the winter months? She might not be comfortable wearing a snowsuit, gloves and hats all winter for sleeping, lol (just kidding). You should try a space heater, we have one in our basement that is oil filled (it doesn’t need to be refilled) and it works great, it gets so warm that we keep it on low. We live in the Pocono Mountains, PA and it gets very cold here too in the winter.

I recently bought my son flannel sheets for the crib. That helps. He's 11 months old and wanted nothing to do with a sleep sack but I find that a fleece sleeper does the trick too. On really cold nights, I have him wear a light onsie under the sleepr. I don't give him a blanket. Have you thought of buying a space heater?

My daughter is 10 months old and had no problem sleeping with a blanket. If your baby can take off and kick off the blanket himself it is fine to sleep with one

my daughter is 3 months old is already sleeping with blankets. i wrap her in one and lay one on top o her. when she is drifting off to sleep she pulls the blacket right up to her face. people are so worried these days about SIDS but our parents used blankets and laid us on our bellies and we survived!! i read an article about SIDS and it says that 75% of SIDS cases are NOT caused by bankets, pillows, crib padding, or belly sleeping. that they are caused by a sudden lapse in the brain where the baby forgets to breathe then gasps and chokes on their own saliva.
