was wondering what everyones thought were on babies/toddlres sleeping in their own beds? I have a 3 yr old son who slept with me in my bed from the time he was born till just recently...am expecting my second child and was wondering if it would be okay to do the same?????????? thanx leila
I think if you and your hubby are ok with it then why not. My daughter sleeps with us from time to time, she is crawling and standing so I feel more comfortable with her in the crib. I never planned on co-sleeping but it was easier for me after the c-section and she sometimes sleeps better with us. I wouldn't recomend it to anyone that is a heavy sleeper as they might roll over onto the baby.

Our daughter is 10 months old and she's still sleeping with us. Her crib is beside our bed so we put her in it when she falls asleep but as soon as she wakes up she wants to come into our bed. We like having her there and knowing she's safe and all but it cramps our alone time so we're working on transfering her to her room. My hubby is a little torn though but it does make feedings easier. I tell myself that she won't wanna sleep with us forever. lol. I think by the time she's 2 she'll be sleeping in her room though.
My son slept in our room till he was 3 months old. He is now in his own room and he loves it. When he gets upset or mad he tells me "I'll be in my room!" He is 3 now and loves that he has his own space that he can do what he wants with.
Hey there!! I am right there with you. I told myself that I would never let my kids sleep with me....but that NEVER happened. My son is almost 2 and still sleeps with us every now and than. He does have his own toddler bed, but the thing is, is that we are living with the in-laws, so we are all in one bedroom. I just recently had our second child and I am trying my hardest to not let her sleep with us. But I think that it is harder on the parents to get their kids to sleep in their own beds. But when you are ready, than he will be ready too, or that he will let you know when he is ready. Good Luck!!
