need some advice

Hi my wise moms.

My today 6 month old baby boy needs to start sleeping through the night. ok let me explain what is going on. first of all I am still breastfeeding and he will not take a bottle nor a pacifier. we just started him on some cereal last week and we have been feeding him once a day(8 p.m.) the rest of the time he nurses. before bed i give him a bath and get him all dress to sleep around 9:30 he nurses and falls asleep. he  sleeps for 2 to 3 hours and gets up again(12:30a.m.) to eat for like 15 minutes and then goes back to sleep. for 4 (4:30a.m.) more hours and gets up again (7:30) and does the same thing gets up nurses and goes to sleep. so since I am so tired already becuase during the day I am running around and he is so active I bring him in bed with me that way I can sleep well (rest) while he eats and I am not really up for the hour. ok let me tell you guys one more thing. since his bedroom is so far way from ours he still sleep in our bedroom on his crib, but in the middle of waking up I have been putting him to sleep withus, so that now is kind of backfiring me. As much as i love him next to me sleeping and I am making sure he is ok. I do not if he is really resting the time he really needs. he is not a very good sleeper during the day. I know if we sleep together he sleeps and gets up ocasionally and goes right back to sleep, but if he sees himself on the crib he will not go back to sleep. Am I been a bad mommy? what should i do? I need some advice.

Thank you so much for hearing me out.

You are not a bad mommy. It is hard to know what is the best way to teach him to go to sleep on his own. Here is an article that can help. It has suggestions for ways to help him learn to self soothe.

Good luck. Hope this helps.
