Worry
My mom is such a worry wart.  Whenever we were fifteen minutes late or if we were sick with something simple, like a cold, she would feel so badly that she would worry about it all day.  She still worries whether my 25 year old brother who lives in California is eating well, yadayada. I promised I would be a lot cooler about things like that and not worry so much but...OH MY GOD!  I've turned into her...one little thing not quite correct with my son and I worry about it all day!

It's natural to worry about your child. I worry all the time. The important thing is how you handle it. Don't worry so much that you make him scared. I know that's easier said than done, but it is important that your worries don't hold him back. For example, you worry that he will fall and get hurt when learning to ride a bike. If you show him that you are very worried, you might make him so scared that he won't even want to try. So try to relax and remember that you can't protect him from everything, and it's not good to do that anyway. He needs to experience some difficulties in order to learn and become independent.
