Shot? Tylonol? |
My daughter is 1 month, and got a shot yesterday at her appointment. How long does the pain last? How often and for how long should I continue giving her tylonol? She is super cranky and she isn't normally like this so I think it is the shot still. Any help? |

i never gave my daughter any tylenol cause my doctor said not too. i do however now that she is older give it to her for some shots that may cause her leg to swell. i would take her temperature, or just got the doctor cause maybe she is having a reaction to the shot or maybe where the shot was given hurts her. |

I think it's different with each child. When my son got his 2mo & 4mo shots, they made him cranky, but it wasn't too bad. He was more cranky at the 4mo, so I gave him Tylenol right before bed, but I only had to give it to him once both times. Since she's young and you're concerned, call the doc. Has her temp gone up at all? |

My doctor advised us to give tylenol one hour before the shots to help with the pain and it has been working for us so far. At 1 month it was scary to be giving a baby medicine, but my son did just fine with it...just be sure to check the amount she can take. Also, I would give tylenol then 4 hours later switch to infant motrin. Your baby may prefer one over the other. I don't know if anyone else had this experience, but so far the 6 month shots were the ones that affected my son the most. He ran a high temp and was achy with them, but as long as he was getting the tylenol and motrin he wasn't too fussy. |
