Intro to solids and balance with breast milk
I just started my daughter on rice cereal a few weeks age (she is 6 mos.). I am also nursing and am not sure how often all of this needs to take place. We start the day with about 3 tbsp of rice cereal and milk and also a little nursing, she nurses again in about 3 hrs, in the afternoon I have been trying green beans and then nursing, and before bed I give her another 3 tbsp of rice cereal. She wakes one time during the night for a full 20 min nurse. I don't know how much milk she gets so I am curious if I am balancing this well. Her nursing times vary from 5 min to 20 min. This new venture has left me feeling unsure about nutrition but she is a healthy weight and doesn't seem hungry or too full. Any experiences or advice you all have to share would be greatly appreciated!!! THANKS

Sounds like you are doing fine. Take cues from your daughter and you will know she is getting enough. If she seems satisifed and is gaining weight at an appropriate rate, she is getting the right amount. Don't worry about over feeding, she will let you know when she has had enough. Continue introducing new foods at a slow pace and gradually she will nurse less as she eats more solid foods.
