stomach sleeping
my son is almost 4 months old...he has learned to roll over...when he goes to sleep he always rolls over to his stomach...we try to roll back over and he wakes up and crys...he has to be on his stomach to sleep...we tried to use his wedge to keep him on his back but he won't have it...i know he is suppose to sleep on his back but how am i suppose to do that if he refuses too...is it okay to just let him sleep on his stomach or is there anything i can do to keep him on his back

If he can roll himself there then it should be ok. When my DD learned to roll that's how she started to sleep too and the dr said it was ok since she rolled herself there.

My pediatrician told me the same thing. Once she can roll on her own it is safe to sleep on her stomach. Just make sure there are no blankets or anything else for her to get caught up in.

All the Pediatricians tell you that babies have to sleep on there backs because of the risk of SIDS. I can tell you the risk is a lot lower these days! My baby is now 7 months old and he has always slept on his tummy even when He could not roll over. He is comfortable that way! I would just make sure that there our no toys or pillows that could suffocate him in his crib.
