The kitchen AHHHHHHH
I recently started letting my almost 2 yr. old daughter help in the kitchen. The great thing is that she's wonderful in the kitchen, she mixes, measures, and scoops. she loves to cook and taste avything. She also has started to learn to do her dishes pretty good. The problem I have is that when we take her out of the kitchen she freaks out and stands by the gate or worst tries to climb over it, almost falling into the kitchen. I've tried explaining to her that her part is over now the fire is coming on and she can't be running around (it's a small kitchen).Once she's been in she won't get out she just stands there yelling, what can I do?

No matter what the specific activity, when children enjoy something that much it is hard for them to accept when they have to stop and move on to something else. It will help if you let her know in the beginning how long it will last. "We are going to mix the cake, put it in the oven, clean up, and then leave the kitchen." Explain why: "The oven gets very hot, and I don't want you to get a burn." Give her a warning when you are almost done, several warnings, in fact. At 10 minutes, 5 minutes, 4, 3, 2 and 1 minute. Remind her why she has to leave the kitchen and tell her that she can come back later. Then try to engage her in something else that she likes to do. Maybe give her some bowls, cups and spoons to play pretend when she can't actually be in the kitchen.
