I thought I would never do this as a parent but...

I though when I had children I would never spank them like my father did us. Low and behold I did. My son the 6yr old did something that caused me to tear into his bootie. I got mad at myself for it. My father used to spank us all the time, sometimes for no reason at all, so I always swore I would never do it. BOO WHOO!! =( I promised I wouldn't do it again and haven't. Me and my husband chose to have them write sentences when they are being bad. WORKS LADIES. When they have to write 100 times I will not fight with my brother or sister.... they straighten up!! lolol... It's more peaceful, cuz they aint about to spend their whole day writing when the others are outside playin. lol

I have spanked my child twice. Once when he ran into the road and once when he was about to put something into the electrical outlet. I have and only will spank when its a saftey issue, so he knows that Im serious. Hes almost 5 now, and grabs my hand always without me asking before crossing the street, and have never had a problem with the outlets either!
