Hi; I just joined!

I'm a stay-home mom of two girls-26 months and 4 months. This site looks amazing, with all the topics I could probably think of! I'm glad to have a place to connect with other parents for times when I'm at home feeling hopelessly alone and rethinking my decision to be home.

I know how you feel....I just decided to stay at home with my 2 year old and rethinking my decision every day. I am in Houston and finding moms my age in my area is very trying. I am younger than everyone by at least 10 years. I am looking for moms in my area with children close to his age!

I wish I could stay at home with my baby. Before I had him, I always thought that I could stay home full time. After he was born, it totally changed. I love spending every single second with him, even the long nights. I'm getting ready to go back to work in two weeks. My husband and I have a lot of student loans to pay off so we cannot afford for me to stay home. The only thing that makes all of this a little easier is that my mom will be watching my son so he doesn't have to go to daycare. I just don't know how other working moms do it. I'm glad to find a place I can meet other moms since I dont' know that many moms.

I know what you mean. My husband and I are struggling so that I can stay home, but I know that it'll be worth it. I never planned to be a stay home mom until I had my oldest-then I knew I couldn't trust anyone else to care for her like I would want. You are lucky that your mom will be with him, and she's lucky because she's going to have a strong bond with her grandson. Don't worry; they'll have so much fun together! Who better to take care of yours than the one who raised you?! My mom would kill to be able to quit work and take care of her grandkids. She's still upset that we moved so far away from her!
