Frustration -

Frustration

[b][/b][i][/i]My 3 month old has become incredibly clingy out of nowhere! He has always been an easy going baby, who can entertain himself for a good 30 minutes at a time. It has allowed me to have the time to get housework done, cook and so forth without any problems. About a week ago he has started screaming the second i trying to put him down. It has gotten to the point that he won't even let my husband hold him and won't take a nap unless i am holding him. From sun up to sun down he is attatched to me. I am frustrated and worn out...any suggestions on what i can do?

My daughter started out that way. And still at 2 years old she has days that are like that. I strongly suggest getting a Snugli or a sling. I wore DD 24/7 for the first 4 months and it helped immensely with her tempermant. Sometimes babies need to feel close to their mommies and there is nothing wrong with that. I understand how frustrating it is when you can't do anything or everything you do has to be one handed. I do remember how difficult it was trying to go to the bathroom while carrying DD. It's also ok to set your baby down and let him cry for a couple of minutes while you brush your teeth. It's not going to hurt him and it will give you a small break too. I often found that by the time I was done brushing my teeth, I couldn't wait to pick her back up again. I know it sounds crazy but it's true.

Hang in there. It will get better.

I have 5 children all very young. My youngest is breastfed and does not want me to put her down! She see's me and fusses for me. She would nurse all day if I would let her. It does get better, I can tell ya I have had every type of baby you can imagine..With five you just expect anything because they are all different. I love being a mom, but it is extremely difficult to keep your home clean when they are so clingy! Do what you can and what you don't get done today...don't stress over it. She is only this age for a short time. Enjoy it!

Thanks for the advice guys...it is nice to know that all babies go through stages like that. I actually ordered a Moby and i am in love!!! This thing is heaven sent...there is nothing better!!!!! In fact, he is in it right now as i type :laughing: I actually got chores done today...now that is just amazing!
